The aim of the MASS MOD project is to develop a European module at master program level in environmental sciences, by developing new courses and creating a new joint educational method able to raise students' interest in environmental sciences and to create the framework for the MSc program extension to open and distance learning.
The main objectives are as follows:
O1 to ensure the functional managerial frame of the project;
O2 to develop the courses: Environmental Impact Assessment, Safety and Risk Assessment, Sustainable Production and Consumption;
O3 to implement a joint new educational method based on e-learning platforms;
O4 to improve and update the existing infrastructure in the partner institutions according to the new educational method;
O5 to evaluate the project activities and products of the project;
O6 to disseminate the project activities and outcomes among the partners and other key actors according to the target groups;
O7 to create the basis of a future thematic network on environmental sciences.
The main target groups is master students, at ... or open and distance learning program, but the developed outputs use could be extended at undergraduate level, PhD programs and long life learners as well.
The main activities will be focused on courses development and implementation based on an e-learning method.
The expected outputs are the improved syllabus at master program with three new courses (in electronic format), the upgraded teaching method based on e-learning platform, the project website.
