Three outstanding personalities whose names are closely linked to our city - Franz Xaver Kappus, a German writer and journalist born in Timisoara, became famous throughout the world primarily as a recipient for the letters of the great poet Rainer Maria Rilke ("Letters to a young poet"), published in 1929, as well as two co-founders of the Aktionsgruppe Banat, William Totok and Werner Kremm, known for their literary and journalistic work - were the protagonists of an event on March 19 at the Central Library of Politehnica University Timisoara.

Thus, in the organization of the UPT Faculty of Communication Sciences, in collaboration with the Romanian-German Cultural Society and the German Cultural Center in Timisoara, the launch of the expressionist micro novel "Die Peitsche im Antlitz. Geschichte eines Gezeichneten "/" The whip of contempt. The Story of a Stigmatized" by Franz Xaver Kappus, with an introductory study by William Totok, the German translation and notes by Werner Kremm.

The volume appeared at the Publishing House of the Romanian Literature Museum in Bucharest, which was also a partner of the event. The launch of the book took place in the presence of publishers and translators William Totok (Berlin) and Werner Kremm (Timisoara).
