Architectural Exhibition Time

Future and current students present their work

At the Faculty of Architecture and City Planning within Politehnica University Timisoara is the time of the exhibitions. Two such events were scheduled during this period, one having the future students as the protagonists, and the other the current ones.

Thus, on Saturday, April 13, in the main hall of the UPT Library, the 26 best works of the future students in Architecture, currently pupils, who participated in the national Hans Fackelmann competition, at the first edition, were exhibited. Within this framework, competitors had to present a portfolio of papers on a specific theme chosen by them and in the final stage they imagined the arrangement of an open-air library that would make available to the public 100 key publications elaborated by UPT over time, in the context of the anniversary, in the year 2020, of 100 years since its inception. The best works on this occasion were brought together in the exhibition of the library's lobby.

The UPT Faculty of Architecture and City Planning organized an exhibition dedicated to high school students interested in this field at the Open Gates. The opening took place on 15 April 2019, the works being available for visitors until 19 April, from 12.00 to 17.00. For an experience as close as possible to the activities carried out within the faculty, the projects are presented in both 2D (plan) and 3D (models) format. Due to the fact that the faculty also includes the field of Furniture and Interior Design, the whole context is complemented by details of furniture and interior design projects and not only. The exhibition consists of a variety of works, from various subjects: the study of shape - 1st and 2nd year, design – 1st to 5th years, besides dissertation works from the master programs.
