Traveling to Timisoara:

Timisoara has an international airport on which operate the following companies: TAROM, AUSTRIAN AIRLINES and CARPATAIR.
You can travel direct from/to Bucharest, Vienna, Treviso, Verona, Bergamo, Bologna, Firenze, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Stuttgard and New York. You can also use the Budapest (330km) or Belgrade (175km) Airport, and the travel to Timisoara by train or minibus.

The city of Timisoara

Timisoara is positioned in the western part of Romania, neighboring Yugoslavia and Hungary, being the most important city in Banat Region, with around 450000 inhabitants. Timisoara is situated less than 700km away from seven European capitals.
Timisoara is a famous academic center (state university: "Politehnica" University, West University, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine and private university: Banat University and Tibiscus University). Also is a multicultural center (State-Opera, National Theatre, Hungarian State-Theatre, German State-Theatre, Banat Philharmonic Orchestra and art galleries). Timisoara is well harm by the communication infrastructure: two major European roads and the second largest and important international airport from Romania.
The multitude of the ethnic groups who live in this city has influenced the town's architectural style.
The large number of parks and gardens situated on each side of the Bega Channel are a good reason for Timisoara to be called "the town of roses".
Among the numerous objectives that can be visited in Timisoara, there are the Orthodox Cathedral, Catholic Cathedral, Union Square, The Opera, Timisoara Fortress, the Museum of Banat and the Art Museum.
Also, near Timisoara, you can visit the ornithological reservation "Banat's Delta" from Satchinez (25km), the dendrologic park from Bazos (15km) and Buzias spa (32km).
