SCHOLARSHIPS OFFERED BY THE MINISTRY OF ECONOMY, COMMERCE AND TOURISM FOR NON-EU CITIZENS

 

40 scholarships are offered every year by the Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Tourism to non-EU citizens interested in enrolling in a Romanian-taught study programme (one year for the study of the Romanian language is included in the scholarship) at Bachelor's, Master's or PhD level.

Studies in the fields of business and economics, agriculture, medicine, oil and gas, and technology are given priority, although all study fields are eligible for funding.

The scholarship includes a tuition fee waiver, free-of-charge accommodation and a monthly allowance. International and local transport, as well as daily expenses will be covered by the scholarship holder.

Applicants need to be in a position to promote the economic relations between Romania and their country of origin, and to obtain an official recommendation letter from one of the involved authorities:

- recommendation from the Ministry of Economy, Commerce and the Business Environment in his/her home country;

- recommendation from the Embassy, Consulate, Honorary Consulate or other representations of the home country of the applicant;

- recommendation from a company supported by the Ministry of Economy, Commerce and the Business Environment in his/her home country;

- recommendation from an NGO in his/her home country;
