Registration open for students to entrepreneurship and digital innovation courses National

certificates for free through the StartUPT project!

For the launch of the StartUPT project – Innotech Student, Non-reimbursable financing for student entrepreneurs through the StartUPT program, Politehnica University Timișoara as Beneficiary, in collaboration with fonduri-structurale.ro, organized on February 2, 2022, an online event for informing the target audience about the project, including presentations of successful student projects and a Q&A session for the participants.

Representatives of Politehnica University Timișoara and fonduri-structurale.ro attended the event, alongside hundreds of interested students.

The objective of the event

The main objective of the event was informing the target audience about entrepreneuship training through ANC-certified entrepreneurship courses for at least 341 students and doctorate students from any university in the western region of Romania (must be at least second-year bachelor students), who reside in an underdeveloped Romanian region (South Muntenia, South-West Oltenia, West, Center, North-East, North-West, South-East) and want to open a start-up in an economic sector with competitive potential in those regions.

The courses will be held online and interactive tools, case studies and synchronous sessions will be used. At the end of the course, the students will take an exam and receive the national certification in “Entrepreneurial skills”.

Later, the students can participate in the business plan competition and have the chance to be one of the 26 entrepreneurs who will receive up to 60,000 euro for their business.

They will be supported with business activity simulations, personalized mentoring in entrepreneurship and digital innovation, through internships at similar businesses and attending business schools.

What comes next

Informing the target audience about the StartUPT project and selecting the participants for the entrepreneurship training courses, this being a mandatory step for participating in the later stages of the project.

“StartUPT” (POCU/829/6/13/140550) is project co-financed by the European Social Fund through the Human Capital Operational Program (POCU) through the “Innotech Student” financing direction. The project is implemented by Politehnica University Timisoara as Beneficiary, in collaboration with fonduri-structurale.ro (Development Consulting Group DCG SRL), during December 2021 – December 2023. The total eligible value of the project is 9,280,400.14 RON, of which the value of the non-reimbursable financing is 9,190,844.13 RON. The value of the eligible co-financing of the Beneficiary and partner is 89,556.01 RON.
