“SIT WITH ME”, the traditional exhibition by UPT architecture students brought a new challenge – representing a famous brand

The library of Politehnica University Timisoara hosted on Monday, January 16, 2023, the opening of the traditional exhibition by sixth-year students from the Faculty of Architecture and City Planning within UPT – “SIT WITH ME”, sixth edition.

For the interior design project, the students coordinated by professors Cristina Povian and Camil Milincu set out to build a small, ergonomic, comfortable seating item representing a famous brand. Thus, this year’s theme was “Please SIT WITH ME in style”.

Like in the previous editions, students had to show not only creativity, but also dexterity to complete their project, the aim of the exercise being to transition from on-paper projects to implementing them in practice.

Nearly 50 students from the Faculty of Architecture and City Planning displayed their work at the opening, showing their creativity, despite the many challenges they faced along the way, from choosing a brand to designing, choosing materials and executing the project.

The chairs created for world-renowned brands, from big fashion designers or coffee shops to SRI and the students’ brands can be viewed in the central lobby of the UPT Library.
