ERASMUS+ KA107 FOR STUDENTS FROM PARTNER UNIVERSITIES

Application process

1. Am I eligible?
In order to be eligible you must cumulatively meet the following conditions:
a) You must be enrolled in a study programme leading to a recognized Bachelor, Master or PhD degree at one of the partner institutions of Politehnica University of Timisoara, in a study field foreseen in the bilateral Erasmus+ agreement:
b) You must demonstrate a good knowledge of the language in which you wish to study (Romanian, English and/or French – according to the planned study programme).
c) You must comply with the rules of the programme regarding the minimum and maximum duration of the mobility. The minimum period for a study mobility is 90 days, while for a training mobility is of 60 days.

2. What documents does the application file contain?

The documents will be analysed by the Department of International Relations of the sending university.

3. What are the application deadlines?
Each partner university will choose the period for the application process; however, the final results must be sent to us before 1’st of December 2019.

Selection process
Each partner will define and publish the selection procedure, which must comply with the Erasmus Programme requirements: transparency, equity, equal opportunities, non-discrimination and support for candidates with social disadvantages background, support for candidates with special needs.

What is the value of the grant?
The value of the Erasmus+ grants for incoming students is 26.66 EUR/day (800 euro/month).To cover the travel costs between the home and the host university the Erasmus+ Programme provides the following travel grants (lump sum):

  • Albania– 275 EUR
  • Azerbaijan – 360 EUR
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina – 180 EUR
  • Brazil – 1500 EUR
  • Dominican Republic – 1500 EUR
  • Georgia – 275 EUR
  • Indonesia – 1500 EUR
  • Israel – 275 EUR
  • Japan – 1500 EUR
  • Jordan – 275 EUR
  • Mauritius – 1500 EUR
  • Mexico – 1500 EUR
  • Moldova – 275 EUR
  • Montenegro – 180 EUR
  • Morocco – 360 EUR
  • Russian Federation – 530 EUR

The value of the travel grant takes into consideration the distance between the partner universities.

I've been selected. What should I do now? 

1. Fill in the accommodation form (optional, only if you would like to stay in a student residence).

2. Fill in the learning agreement. This document will be provided by UPT, and needs to be approved by the student, the home university and the host university before the beginning of the mobility.

3. Start the procedures for obtaining the visa (if needed) for Romania. The UPT's Department for International Relations will issue an acceptance letter confirming the selection as an Erasmus+ student in order to support the visa application process. Please start the visa application procedures as soon as possible.

4. Plan your trip to Timişoara. Train / bus / plane tickets need to be bought directly by the students.

 TEACHING / TRAINING MOBILITIES FOR THE STAFF OF PARTNER UNIVERSITIES

Application file:
a) CV – written in Romanian, English or French
d) Draft of the teaching / training programme. Only teaching / training mobilities in the fields mentioned in the agreement can be approved.

INCOMING teaching mobilities & INCOMING training mobilities:

Selection board:

Will be organized by each partner university.

Selection criteria:
Each partner university will define the own selection process, which must comply with the Erasmus Programme requirements: transparency, equity, equal opportunities, non-discrimination and support for candidates with social disadvantages background, support for candidates with special needs.

After the interview the Selection Board will fill in a selection contest report.

Erasmus+ grants
The value of the Erasmus+ grants for incoming students and staff is as follows:
•    Incoming teaching mobilities: 140 EUR/day
•    Incoming training mobilities: 140 EUR/day

The grants for staff mobilities are awarded for working days (Monday to Friday, excluding national holidays) and for travel days. Non-working days (holidays, weekends) will not be funded, unless they coincide with the international travelling dates.

To cover the travel costs between the home and the host university the Erasmus+ programme provides the following travel grants (lump sum):

  • Albania– 275 EUR;

  • Bosnia and Herzegovina – 180 EUR
  • Brazil – 1500 EUR
  • Dominican Republic – 1500 EUR

The value of the travel grant takes into consideration the distance between the partner universities. The plane / train / bus tickets need to be bought by the participants themselves.

The UPT's Department for International Relations will issue an Invitation confirming the selection as an Erasmus+ participant (Incoming teaching or training mobility) in order to support the visa application process.
