Academic Year 2014/2015
Over 4000 students attended the official opening ceremonies held by the 10 faculties within Politehnica University Timisoara on the 22nd of September 2014. As always, representatives of the university leadership, the deans of the faculties, distinguished members of the academics, local officials and collaborators from the economic environment attended.
Each of the opening ceremonies started with the new anthem of the Politehnica University Timisoara. The messages of the members from the presidium listened with interest by the 1st year students, who started their student life with useful tips and inspiring examples. “For us, it is the beginning of a new academic year, for you - the beginning of a period in life you will fondly remember for many years to come”, told the rector of Politehnica University Timisoara, Professor Engineer Viorel – Aurel SERBAN, PhD, to the students. “Politehnica is not just a great development of forces, European buildings and laboratories, but a spirit, as it was defined by the founder of the university. You have to carry on with you this spirit”, added the rector of UPT.
