“ELECTRO ART” is a new initiative of Liga AC (the student organization from the Faculty of Automation and Computers within Politehnica Timisoara University) and aims to connect contemporary art and the technology of UPT students.

Three murals contributing to creating a pleasant ambiance for the educational process were painted in the Electro building of Politehnica University Timisoara. Cristian Anghel, Eugen Paraschivu and Alina Sferle contributed to the murals, the project also aiming to help promote young local artists.

To facilitate students’ access to information (academic year structure, Student Statute, free time activities, Erasmus+ program etc.), an augmented reality app was developed with the help of Cobalt Sign. The app can be used by the public to scan the murals and is available for free in the App Store and on Google Play.

The project was done with support from Timisoara City Hall and Timis County Council, funded by the Project Center of Timisoara and co-funded by Timis County Youth Foundation. The organizers would like to thank Politehnica University Timisoara for their support and trust.

The student organization from the Faculty of Automation and Computers (Liga AC) represent the interests of the students of the faculty and supports their social and cultural lives. Annualy, Liga AC organize remarkable projects, such as Liga AC LABS, UniHack, iTEC and ISWinT.
