Preparation and issuance of replacement documents
This page provides the information required for the issuance of replacement academic documents when the original documents have been lost, destroyed or damaged.
In the event of the loss, complete destruction or partial damage of an academic document, we can issue a replacement provided that the institution’s archives contain the original record (stub) of the document and/or other legally valid documents confirming the holder’s study records.

Request the Autonomous Administration Official Gazette to publish a loss notice containing:

- The holder’s surname, the initial of the father’s first name (or the initial of the mother’s first name if the father is unknown), and the holder’s first name;
- The year in which the relevant studies were completed;
- The series and number of the document;
- The number and date under which the document was recorded in the register of issued academic documents;
- The name of the issuing institution.
What you need to know
Keep your academic documents in the best possible condition. Avoid, where possible, submitting original academic documents to different institutions. Do not laminate original documents.
