The deadline for applying to the doctoral admissions competition is July 14 at 16:00.

The documents in the application file (Annex 4) must be uploaded on the Enroll platform.

After uploading the documents to Enroll, you must notify the UPT Doctoral School that your application is complete by sending an email to scoaladoctorala@upt.ro.

Subsequently, you will receive an e-mail from the UPT Doctoral School containing your application registration number or feedback regarding the documents you uploaded.

1. Registration form

After registering on the Enroll platform, print and sign the generated registration form, as specified in Annex 3.

2. Curriculum Vitae

Prepare your CV in Europass format and sign it.

3. Activity report

The activity report is a printed and signed document that includes:

• Research areas and objectives relevant to the doctoral programme;
• Alignment between the doctoral programme and your previous studies;
• Level of research and/or practical experience;
• Scientific papers published or presented in the doctoral field;
• Awards at the national stages of professional competitions in the field of specialization.

All supporting documents must be attached to the application file, including academic papers, diplomas, and certificates of awards.

4. The language proficiency certificate

You may submit a certificate obtained from another specialized institution, subject to approval of the UPT Interlingua Centre, following the procedure described in the Certificate equivalence information section of the Registration form for the language proficiency examination required for admission to doctoral studies at IOSUD-UPT (.docx) [DOCX, 108.8 KB].

If you do not have such a certificate, you can request online testing and the issuance of a language proficiency certificate from the UPT Interlingua Centre, by sending the registration form to the address interlingua@upt.ro. To have the certificate issued, you also need to submit proof of payment of the testing fee.

Admission fees

For the 2026 academic year, the admission fees for Romanian citizens, as well as citizens of European Union Member States, European Economic Area Member States, the United Kingdom, and the Swiss Confederation, are as follows:

• registration fee: 300 RON;
• confirmation fee: 200 RON.

How to pay the application fees

The registration fee and the fee for the language proficiency test can be paid online into the UPT account held at UniCredit Bank. In the payment details, indicate, as applicable, “Doctoral programme application fee” or “language proficiency examination fee”:

Tuition fees

The admission process includes an oral presentation, specifically a PowerPoint presentation of your portfolio, before the admission committee.

The activity report must include:

• The research areas and objectives considered for the doctoral programme;
• The alignment between the doctoral field and prior education;
• Level of experience in research and/or practical activities;
• Scientific papers published or presented on topics related to the doctoral field;
• Awards at the national stages of professional competitions in the field of specialization.

When registering for the admission competition, you must attach the supporting documents (scientific papers, diplomas, awards) to this report.

The evaluation of your doctoral application is carried out according to the criteria in the admission regulations (.pdf) [PDF, 4.19 MB].

The results will be displayed on the date provided in the admission timeline.

OME 3102/08.02.2022 – amending and supplementing the Framework Methodology on the organization of admissions to bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programmes, approved by OMENCS 6102/15.12.2016 – as amended and supplemented.

OMEN 3473/17.03.2017 – on the approval of the Methodology for the admission and enrollment of foreign citizens beginning with the 2017–2018 school/academic year.

OMECS no. 5269/2015 – Methodology for the recognition and equivalence of diplomas and certificates obtained upon completion of bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or doctoral degree studies at accredited higher education institutions abroad.

Applications for the recognition of academic qualifications of citizens of Romania and of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation must be submitted in accordance with the MENCS methodology, in particular, in accordance with recognition of Bachelor’s and Master’s studies.
