Venues for academic and professional events
From conferences, workshops and symposia to academic and professional meetings, events held in venues managed by the UPT Conference Centre benefit from well-equipped facilities that foster dialogue and collaboration.
Organisers can choose from the Conference Centre’s rooms (Auditorium, K1 and K2), the Multipurpose Hall in the UPT Library building, or the Senate rooms in the Rectorate building. All are equipped for presentations, discussions and institutional meetings.
Auditorium
Located in the UPT Conference Centre building, the Auditorium is designed for large-scale events and offers advanced technical facilities for conferences and academic events with large audiences.

- Capacity: 340 seats in auditorium layout;
- Video projection system (16:10 format);
- Sound system with handheld and lapel microphones;
- Simultaneous interpretation system in four languages;
- Laptop;
- Additional stage furniture available on request.
K1 and K2 lecture theatres
Located in the UPT Conference Centre, the K1 and K2 lecture theatres are modern venues suitable for medium-sized academic events, featuring a traditional lecture theatre layout.
Features
- Capacity: 89 seats per room;
- 4 seats at the head table;
- Video projection system (16:9 format);
- Sound system with fixed and mobile microphones;
- Simultaneous interpretation system in two languages;
- Laptop.
Additional facilities
The UPT Conference Centre also offers auxiliary spaces to support activities associated with events:
- Foyers for exhibitions or catering services;
- Registration or information desks;
- Self-service cloakroom.
UPT Conference Centre
Multipurpose Hall – UPT Library
The Multipurpose Hall in the UPT Library has a flexible layout and is suitable for medium-sized events.

- Maximum capacity: 70 seats;
- 3 seats at the head table;
- 2 video projection systems (projector and screen);
- Laptop;
- Sound system (3 microphones for the head table and 2 handheld microphones).
UPT Senate Main Hall
The Senate rooms in the UPT Rectorate offer a prestigious setting in a heritage building located in the heart of Timișoara. Their central location provides easy access to public transport and nearby car parks.
The UPT Senate Main Hall is ideal for formal academic and institutional events.

- 5 seats at the head table;
- Sound system;
- Video projection system (16:10 format);
- Laptop;
- Simultaneous interpretation system.
UPT Senate Small Hall
Also located in the UPT Rectorate building, the Senate Small Hall is suitable for smaller academic and institutional meetings.

Two forms are available for booking venues managed by the UPT Conference Centre, depending on the location selected.
To ensure efficient planning, booking requests should include the type of event, the dates, technical requirements and any catering or exhibition setup requirements. Send the completed booking form to raluca.ilisie@upt.ro and conferinte@upt.ro.
