Bachelor's degree studies through distance learning

What is a distance learning or part-time bachelor's degree programme?

At UPT, you can choose from a diverse range of bachelor's degree programmes. In addition to our full-time bachelor's degree programmes, you can also choose distance learning or part-time study options.

The programmes are organised by the Digital and Distance Education Department (DeL), in partnership with UPT faculties.

What is different?

In short, the flexibility to learn at your own pace and around your lifestyle.

Distance learning and part-time studies provide the same benefits as full-time studies: the same curriculum, the same courses and the same teaching staff. The bachelor's degree awarded upon graduation is equivalent to the one obtained through full-time studies, with the only additional information being the mention of the study mode.

What changes compared to full-time study is the way you learn.

For distance learning bachelor's degree programmes, courses take place on four Saturdays per semester:

  • 2 online sessions;
  • 2 sessions at the faculty.

For part-time bachelor's degree programmes, courses take place over six weekends per semester:

  • 1 online session;
  • 5 sessions at the faculty.

Examinations take place at the faculty premises during the examination period, exclusively at weekends (Saturday and Sunday).

In addition to online activities, as a distance learning student, you also benefit from in-person support at the university, especially during the weekends when sessions or examinations take place.

Whether you choose distance learning or part-time learning, everything is just a click away: course materials, assignment and project management, grade checking, as well as communication with teaching staff, colleagues and our department staff (DeL) are all available through the Virtual Campus platform.
